CERTIFICATE III SPORT & RECREATION

Students have the opportunity of studying the first year of Certificate III in Sport & Recreation for a partial completion of this certificate, or to complete the certificiate over a two year duration.

 

Units of Competency achieved in either the one or two year options are transferable and recognised throughout the industry.

 

These Units of Competency include studies in the following areas:

• Coaching

• Conducting warm-ups and cool-downs

• Officiating

• Safety and the sports environment

• The use of Social Media in business and networking

• Sport specific training

• First Aid and Emergency Procedures

• Strength and conditioning

 

The Certificate III in Sport and Recreation delivered over two-years offers students a vocational qualification as well as VCE units 1 to 4.

Students will develop the skills and knowledge required to support the operation of facilities and assist in conducting sport and recreation programs as well as develop a comprehensive understanding of the Sport and Recreation industry.

 

This program is an examinable subject and students complete a VCAA exam at the end of the units 3 & 4 sequence.  The result of this exam contributes to the students ATAR score.

VET in schools programs provides opportunities for students to explore and gain real-life skills to enhance employment opportunities, whilst still undertaking full time study in their own school.

• Contributes to the students VCE and or VCE VM units

• Contribute to the students ATAR score

 

Our  Certificate III Sport & Recreation VET in schools program will provide everything students need to successfully complete the course including:
