Second Year - Cerificate III in Sport & Recreation
Second Year - Certificate III in Sport and Recreation provides students with the skills and knowledge that will enhance their employment prospects in the sport and recreation industries. Students will specialise in applying legal and ethical coaching practices.
Students who complete their second year of Certificate III in Sport and Recreation will also be accerditted 2 VCE Units at the Unit 3 & 4 level. It is also an examinable VCE subject and adds to the calculation of your ATAR score

INDUCTION
SESSION 1
Please access the WHS & Hazard Identification Chapter above.
You will have recieved a copy of the Chapter activities which we will work through in class.
During the FIRST Session we will read the relevant sections of the Chapter and complete the following tasks:

During the SECOND Session we will read the relevant sections of the Chapter and complete the following tasks:

1. Participate in workplace hazard identification
1.1 Participate in selecting hazard identification methods suitable for the workplace
1.2 Use selected methods to identify, report and record hazards according to workplace procedures and WHS Acts, regulations and codes of practice
1.3 Provide information and assistance to persons conducting hazard identification
2. Participate in WHS risk assessment
2.1 Participate in selecting suitable risk assessment methods for the workplace
2.2 Use selected methods to assess and record risks according to workplace procedures and WHS Acts, regulations and codes of practice
2.3 Provide information and assistance to persons conducting risk assessments
3. Promote and support worker consultation and participation in hazard identification and risk assessment
3.1 Advise workers of, and consult them about, hazard identification and risk assessment activities, according to workplace WHS consultation and participation policies, procedures and processes

To complete the unit requirements safely and effectively, the individual must:
